From 20–22 October, we brought the EurEau community together in beautiful Zurich for our Annual Congress – and what a packed programme it was!
We covered drinking water, wastewater, economics and legal affairs, welcomed our communications managers for the first time, and held meetings of our Joint Working Groups on Energy & Climate, Innovation, Reuse and WFD/Pollutants. We also tried something new with our very first unconference!
The week concluded with our General Assembly and site visits offering a behind-the-scenes look at how Zurich treats and delivers drinking water, and the realities of quaternary wastewater treatment.
A major highlight was the Swiss EurEau Water Summit 2026, which welcomed 300 guests from across Europe and right across the water sector. A fantastic opportunity to exchange ideas, share experiences and strengthen connections.
A huge thank you to our outstanding hosts, SVGW | Fachverband für Wasser, Gas und Wärme and VSA – Verband Schweizer Abwasser- und Gewässerschutzfachleute, and to the inimitable Raffaele Domeniconi and his team for making it all happen!
