Ukraine - mobilisation from Belgium and Germany

European water service providers continue to step up and deliver much-needed assistance to our Ukrainian colleagues.

Inasep – the Namur Intercommunal Public Services (Belgium) – have already completed three journeys to the Polish-Ukrainian border, delivering hygiene products, medicines and other pharmaceutical products. Colleagues from the services have filled shoeboxes and bags with essential articles for people fleeing the war.

Meanwhile in Germany, the VKU (Association of Municipal Enterprises) set up a task force to record offers of help for companies in the Ukrainian energy and water industries.

Numerous facilities and systems of public services and the energy system in the country are severely affected and there is a concrete need for tools, building materials, cables, diesel generators, radios, etc. The resources are required for the repair, maintenance and continued operation of the technical infrastructure.

Companies in the German energy and water industry are asked to check whether they can help out with donations that are specifically requested. You can find detailed information about which relief supplies are needed and contact options on the VKU website. Information is also given on how to transport the goods to the Ukrainian border.
