EUREAU welcomes the Commission’s initiative to establish a framework for the sustainable management of water and wishes to contribute actively to its elaboration.
In our Members’ experience, there are four key principles to progress towards a sustainable management of water in the EU.
Monday 28th November MEP Dr Richard Seeber, president of the EP Water Group, hosted the November meeting on the priorities of the Polish Presidency in the water sector. Around 75 participants from European Commission, European and Social Committee and different NGOs and water associations attended the meeting where the keynote speaker was Mrs. Adriana Dembowska, Deputy Director in the National Water Management Authority.
The first week of November EUREAU met at the International Water Week in Amsterdam to discuss about the BluePrint. Almost 100 experts from all over Europe came to Amsterdam RAI to discuss with the Mr. Peter Gammeltoft, from the European Commission (EC), about the vision of EUREAU on the BluePrint.
