22-03-12 // Brussels. On the occasion of the World Water Day for “Water and Food Security”, EUREAU, the European Federation of National Associations of Water and Wastewater Services, highlights a narrow relationship between agricultural activities on the one hand and the water sector on the other.
The first week of November EUREAU met at the International Water Week in Amsterdam to discuss about the BluePrint. Almost 100 experts from all over Europe came to Amsterdam RAI to discuss with the Mr. Peter Gammeltoft, from the European Commission (EC), about the vision of EUREAU on the BluePrint.
Based on the EUREAU PP the post-2013 CAP (approved in November 2010), EUREAU has sent the following responses to the EC Consultation on the CAP Reform.
EUREAU supports the development of a European Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) that ensures a combination of an economically viable agricultural sector with improved sustainability of agricultural practices, especially in the field of water management.
